BERTHA LOU

Clint Miller was one of those rockabilly cats that ABC Paramount signed up at the same time they were inking a deal with Jack Scott in 1957. He cut two singles for the label and this is the first of them, the BEST of them.

The song to note here is "Bertha Lou" and it's flipped with "Doggone It Baby, I'm In Love." The tune hit the streets in December of 1957 and got plugged several times by Dick Clark on Bandstand, but only git up the charts to #79.

Despite the poor showing, the track has become a favotire of rockabilly fans and has turned up on the CD releases: That'll Flat Git It, Vol. 13, MCA's 20 Rockabilly Classics, and the Time-Life Music CD Red-Hot Rockabilly
