CLIVE LEWIS Where Are You Clive Lewis?
The Words and Music of C Adrian Lewis
Rediffusion ZS87 UK stereo pressing 1971 LP
(Matrix ZS-87-A1 & ZS-87-B1)
The vinyl is in near mint condition and looks as though it may have been played very little, if at all. The sleeve is in excellent condition with a few minor creases and a little shelf wear visible on closer inspection, see photographs below.
This record is very rare. One of these was sold last year, and I am quoting from the description as follows as I know very little about this performer and cannot say it any better:
“ULTRA RARE AND BRILLIANT UK VERY DARK HAUNTING ACID/FOLK LP.MOST COLLECTORS HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS LP AND ONLY A COUPLE REVIEWS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HEARD THE LP BY WHAT THEY SAY-JUST HERE SAY.THE LP IS RUMORED TO HAVE SOLD LESS THAN 50 COPIES ON RELEASE AND NOTHING WAS HEARD OF CLIVE LEWIS AGAIN.THE LP IS STUNNING WITH DARK ECHOED VOCALS AND BRILLIANT GUITAR-SIMILAR TO NICK DRAKE BUT IN A MORE DARKER STYLE.THE LP GOT A LOVELY FULLY LAMINATED SLEEVE AND VERY THICK HEAVY VINYL.THE LP IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE FOR THIS STYLE OF MUSIC-JUST LOOK AT THE SONG TITLES.TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ANYWERE.A REAL BEDSITTER LONER/DARK ACID/FOLK CLASSIC!!!!!.”
