ULTRA RARE I would imagine a one-off.
Mispress of 1980 Closer LP by Joy Division.
BOTH SIDES play as Heart and Soul, Twenty Four Hours, The Eternal, Decades.
I bought this in the early ninety-eighties when I was a huge Joy Division/New Order fan. I didn't know whether I was lucky or unlucky to get this one-off! I had to buy another copy which I'll be listing separately..
Sleeve is in very good condition for age. A few indentations to spine but no spine tears/rips and spine writing is legible.
Both main and inner sleeve have discolouration in line with the age of the item, but no creases or marks to speak of.
A bit of scuffing to corners and front cover alongside spine but nothing major. Wear to corners of main sleeve where it opens. Generally very good. Record itself has a few very minor hairline scratches and scuffs but generally in excellent condition for age. Light spindle marks around centre hole.
There is a price sticker on the main cover as can be seen, which I'm not going to attempt to remove.
The photos show some shadows, which I apologise for. These are NOT marks on the cover/sleeve.
It's been in my record collection since the early eighties, always just racked up and left alone in a clean smoke-free house.
No idea as to the value of this, but I'd fairly confident that if you're a collector you'll not find another one like it and it's something you'd probably want in your collection as an oddity and piece of rare memorabilia.

Just to add, I've been advised by a kind eBayer that apparently this copy was issued in 1984 rather than 1980 as my description says. I'm afraid I'm not well up with Factory memorabilia to know if that's definitely the case,- it does say 9/5/80 on the record centre, but please bear this in mind if you intend to bid and do your own research if it's a deal-breaker either way!
