A very nice copy of this 1972 German1st press krautrock/experimental/prog rock rarity
Year/Label : 1972 GERMANY BRAIN METRONOME Label number : brain 1006 Matrix numbers : st - 1006 - A PF 0664.137 S1, st - 1006 - B PF 0664.137 S2 Stampers : 1 D / 1E (stamped)Solid very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl (I am very tempted to grade as "excellent" as I am sure many would) - flat and weighty and retaining it's original impressive jet black sheen, with a few wispy hairlines and the occasional very small and extremely fine paper scuff on each side only discernible with close scrutiny under a bright light...nothing feelable and each appearing to be purely superficial. The circular deep groove (synonymous with 1st pressings) labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - pristine, actually, with not even the usual one or two faint spindle trails. Again a solid very good plus (VG+) condition German 1st press outer gatefold sleeve, laminated on both the front and reverse sides. The edges are firm with no scuffing, including a rigid spine, the corners remain nicely defined right angles with no rubbing, the opening edges are firm with no fraying, and all colours and art work are excellent. There is no cardboard creasing, no unwanted writing, and the interior of the gatefold is near perfect.The only blemish of note is some mild but clearly noticeable laminate lifting on each of the front and reverse side next to the upright vertical edges, and a number of sporadic mostly 1-2cm very small laminate lifts/crinkles around the edges, not major by any means but please do take a close look at my photos where I have tried to give a fair and accurate representation of the overall condition of this iconic sleeve, which remains fully functional and highly presentable. Excellent (EX) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle - great tone, wonderful clarity and a great listen throughout. I did detect x5 very, very light and barely noticeable clicks about mid-way through B1 but even close inspection could not reveal an obvious cause and there does exist the very occasional and very low level random light click on each side but these seem to be caused mainly by static - each very minor and nothing to impact upon a great listen. Comes with original and excellent (EX) condition plain white inner sleeve with no splits, no edge fraying, no unwanted writing, and barely any creasing or age discolouration. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. Prog, Kraut Rock, Experimental - call it what you like but whatever it is it's rare, highly collectible and brilliant!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
