Description
Rare copy of Codeine's 1994 LP "The White Birch" on Sub Pop (sp-166) with original insert.
This is the original US pressing and there is no barcode or catalog number listed on the jacket or labels, only sp-166 in the dead wax. Mastered by Masterdisk.
The generic paper sleeve has been replaced by an archive quality MoFi Master Sleeve.
Borderline VG+/NM vinyl, just a few faint marks that don't affect play and borderline VG+/NM jacket with a faint ring impression from the record and a few small tiny crease lines near the spine that are barely noticeable. See photos for more detail.
For those who aren't aware, Codeine were a Chicago based band (but formed in 1989 in New York City) and are considered the pioneers of what is known as "slowcore" or "sadcore" - which can also fit in the recently labeled "shoegaze" genre. Their drummer at the time, Doug Scharin, was also the drummer in Rex and later formed/led the band HiM.
Payment due within 72 hours or unpaid buyer case will be opened.
All used records are graded conservatively under bright LED lighting and examined from all angles. Incandescent or low-light environments may yield a higher grade. All used LPs ship with the LP (in the sleeve) out of the jacket to prevent splitting and packaged tightly with additional cardboard in a sturdy LP mailer. All records ship with a poly outer sleeve.
Grading Policy: Mint Never happens, doesn't exist in our eyes. NM Nearly perfect, with perhaps one or two very faint marks only seen under bright light VG+ A few light scratches or marks that don't affect play, some may refer to this as EX VG Still plays well, but has multiple surface scratches / hairlines / scuffs that don't typically affect play
Sealed records are graded as sealed.
