COKE ESCOVEDO – Comin’ At Ya! (1976) Mercury-1085 – EX/EX (cover/vinyl)
A super cool Latin funk groove album with the sought after “I Wouldn’t Change a Thing” drum break and sample. That said, there are a number of really great songs on here, lie “Diamand Dust/Vida,” “Something So Simple,” “Stay With Me,” Hangin’ On,” “Somebody’s Callin,” “The Breeze and I,” “Runaway,” “Backseat,” and “Everything IS Coming Our Way.” They also do a great version of “Fried Neck Bones and Home Fries.” Scarce.
This is a really nice copy. The gatefold cover is bright and tight and intact with little wear and only the beginnings of a seam split in the middle of the top seam. They vinyl is clean and glossy with only slight sleeve scuffs – really nice. I grade this conservatively: EX/EX (cover/vinyl).
