COLD SUN: Dark Shadows (Rockadelic RRLP 2.5)

• Condition : Cover is VG++, bottom corners are bumped, cover is wavy along lower right edge like it got wet at some point (there are NO stains or tearing or other damage, it just looks 'wavy'). Slight 2" top seamsplit starting. Thick cover with pasteon slicks. Vinyl is NM. The inserts are missing, sorry to say (not sure if all copies included inserts, but I think they did).
• Description : Very rare circa 1990 first vinyl pressing of circa 1969 recordings from legendary Texas psych band with Elevators connections. This was a limited edition of 300 copies; this copy is number 149 (see red numbering to left of 'spider' in back slick artwork in scan below). This sold out instantly upon release. I had a very hard time getting a copy for myself (which I still own) when it was a new release and this is the only spare I've ever had! It's been booted at least once since then but this is the legit first issue done from the band leader's master tapes. Several of these tracks exist as a one-of-one acetate cutting dating closer to the time of recording but these recordings were never commercially issued anywhere prior to this Rockadelic LP. Musically this is absolutely stunning- you can check the web for much more information, history and opinions on this group. For some reason, the band's leader did not want the band's actual name "Cold Sun" to appear on this LP so it says only "Dark Shadows" but the group was, in fact, named "Cold Sun".

• Condition of this item is guraranteed to be as stated in the above description. Grading is strict and visual. All used LP's are cleaned on a Loricraft machine before grading.
• Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.
