Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room. This week’s auctions feature my progressive and psychedelic records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 1st U.K. pressing of Colosseum – Daughter of Time on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 017, with the BIG SWIRL on the A-side.
The record is in G+ to VG minus condition, there are quite some non-sounding hairlines and some sounding marks and scratches. I’ve test played this record and it plays pretty well, with some light background crackling. I must also say that the record looks worse than it plays. The labels are in VG++ condition, there are a some spindle marks.
The cover is in VG condition, there is a small sticker tear in the upper right hand corner on the front and a very tiny bald spot in the bottom left hand section on the front. Further there is a dent in the top left hand corner on the front. Besides mentioned damage there is nothing wrong with the cover; no writing or other damage. Unfortunately the original Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve is missing.
Although far from a dream Mint condition, this first release of Colosseum’s Daughter of Time album is almost impossible to find with a BIG SWIRL label. The later issue, with the B-side label design on both sides is very common and very easy to find and offered for sale very often. So, if you are a big fan of Colosseum, a Swirl Vertigo collector or a prog music fan, this is a real must have!
