Description

COLOSSEUM - Daughter of Time - EX Vertigo swirl LP with inner

Time to sell more of my vinyl collection - some classical, some jazz, some pop, rock, folk & psych. I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or the next generation, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. Initially I am just picking at random from duplicates, stuff I have on CD and items unplayed for ages so there should be a decent mix. You never know, there might just be something to suit your taste.

This listing is for a copy of Colosseum's third album on original Vertigo swirl label.

Colosseum
Daughter of Time
UK pressing on Vertigo swirl label
1970
Cat Number: 6360 017
Mode: Stereo
Producer: Gerry Bron

The Album:
Third album from Colosseum - more of the same except now with the addition of Chris Farlowe on vocals & Barbara Thompson on flute & saxes. Seasoned musicians of excellent pedigree - say no more

Condition:
Cover:  Gatefold sleeve, unlaminated, is beginning to show its age. Some wear to edges and some ring wear but it's intact. Spine text is legible but it is printed in teeny tiny typeface so it hardly matters, it may as well not be there!. It has a decent swirl bag inner.
Labels: Small logo vertigo swirl labels, bright and clean. Just a few spindle marks, no writing or stickers.
Vinyl: Decent looking vinyl. Just a few of the customary light hairline paper scrapes, and it's a bit dusty. It plays excellently and may even improve if the 40 years of dust is removed with a deep clean

Overall:
A nice copy of this album - I'd guess that this might be professionally graded at (cover / vinyl) VG / EX

Terms:
Please note that I try to test-play at least part of each record before listing, but do not have time to play fully in all cases. I played a lot of this one, but if you do discover a problem which I might have missed, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do all I can to rectify the situation.

Postage:
Royal Mail are 'restructuring' prices from April 2013. Not necessarily all bad news, it depends what you buy - a single LP posted to UK or Europe is now more expensive, but within UK revised weight ranges might allow up to 4 LPs to be posted for the same cost as one. Rest of world prices seem to have reduced slightly. Approximate prices for normal postage - UK £3.35 for up to 1kg (could be up to 4 LPs), Europe £5.30 + £1.80 each additional, Rest of world £7.55 + £2.70 each additional item - these amounts include estimated actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 35p for cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener).
Apologies, but owing to unreliability of some postal services, I will not ship to Italy, Russian Federation, Ukraine and other former Soviet countries unless a signed for service is selected and paid for.
Losses: Royal Mail are also reducing maximum compensation to £20 unless items are signed-for. Overseas purchasers - if your purchase is well over £20, a signed for service must be selected when paying as I will not assume the extra risk and normal airmail will only be covered for £20. Compensation on signed-for shipments is up to £50.

I'm happy to hold records for a short while if you wish to bid on more and combine shipment.

These records are all from my personal collection built up over almost 50 years. Some were bought new, others pre-owned so condition will vary. My attempt at grading is based on Record Collector's grading system. Please therefore read and understand the detailed description which is my honest personal assessment - and I guess you can always check how good or bad that is by checking my feedback. Questions welcome if anything is unclear. Happy bidding.
