Description
This is a fine original pressing copy of the second US LP by British progressive jazz/blues rock group Colosseum, released in 1970. Sporting the same eye-catching cover as the group's second UK LP, Valentyne Suite, it contains three tracks from that LP (the other two appeared on the US version of Those Who Are About to Die Salute You). Of the other five tracks, four appeared in the UK for the first time on a 1971 comp called The Collectors Colosseum, while the fifth, "Lost Angeles," was otherwise unavailable at that time. Now that that's all straightened out, to the record itself. The gatefold jacket has several mostly minor flaws: some creasing along the spine in the lower left corner of the front cover, corner and seam wear, light ring wear on the back cover, light spine wear, and a 2” slash near the lower right corner of the back cover -- overall EX-. The disc is clean with a couple of dings on side 1 and a few hairline scrapes on side 2, and plays with light surface noise between some tracks and an occasional pop -- EX(+). The record comes with the original Dunhill label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have visually graded discs except where otherwise noted.
