Description
This is an auction for a copy of the LP from COLLOSEUM
- on FONTANA Label (No. STL 5510)
This is a first pressing of a highly sought after progressive rock LP.
It features the 1A 1 2A 1 matrix numbers - IT'S SO VERY HARD TO FIND AN ORIGINAL COPY
CONDITION
The VINYL shines nicely and has mostly, only very slight evidence of it been played or handled. While the 'a' side is in good shape, there is one fairly obvious light scratch that covers a lot of the 'b' side, plus a couple of smaller ones too. However, I PLAYED THIS RECORD while listing it and it plays throughout both sides with no hesitation at all, so the surface marks are superficial.
The clean black and silver centre LABELS have just a few minor spindle marks and the centre hole has 'whitened' the black label where it has been used.
THE laminated OUTER SLEEVE is intact and clean, with no real damage - just a little edge scuffing and a small 'nick' on the bottom of the centre seam. There is some light rubbing on the lamination - but only light, although it needs to be mentioned. Plus thereis anme written in fountain pen ink on th inside cover. This sleeve with NO SPLITS, NO TEARS AND NO STAINING is in AT LEAST very good ++ condition.
Overall - this is a nice example of a highly collectable and sought after progressive rock album - in much better than average condition (some might promote it as better) - it's on the right label and with the best matrix numbers.
