Description
This is an original owner VERIGO album that has seen only light use and has the original inner cover. The vinyl shows catalog number V01 847 900 VTY 1Y/2Y on the label and has Matrix # 886775 1Y 420 - SIDE A; and 886775 2Y 420 SIDE - B etched in the runout grooves - which I understand from shows it to be a first UK pressing. Both the vinyl and cover are VG+, only light occasional noise is heard with headphones. Proper cleaning will undoubtably result in improved sound quality. This is an original owner album bought by myself at the Virgin Records store in Brighton, England in 1970. I am not a Dealer.
Vinyl Grading
I grade vinyl by playing the record and listening using Bose Noise Cancelling headphones at medium volume. I do not have professional cleaning equipment available to me, so any dust lodged in the grooves will cause light noise which will make my grading conservative.
MINT (M), Pristine, Looks as if it just came off the manufacturing line.?
NEAR MINT (NM), Looks as if it just came from a store and was opened for the first time, maybe played a few times if ever, no evidence of play or wear whatsoever?
EXCELLENT (EX), LP may have a faint surface mark or two barring it from being Near Mint, but sound quality should not be affected at all. Cover sleeve is just short of Near Mint, often used for cover sleeves in Shrink, or with no ring wear or staining or easily visible flaws whatsoever, seams and spine fully intact
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+), Shows slight signs of wear, light scuffs or scratches may be present but they do not affect playback other than faint surface noise heard sporadically in between tracks, or the occasional soft click from a surface mark here or there. Cover sleeve is considered still “frameable” yet when observed closely will show to have a flaw or small flaws, very minor ring wear if any, seams and spine intact but not pristine
VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD PLUS (VG/VG+), more obvious signs of wear and handling, LP has surface noise that is noticeable in some spots but perhaps is quiet and clean in other spots, clicks and pops will be heard, but will not significantly disrupt the music, cover sleeves have more obvious ring wear or marks/staining, seams may have cracking, minor seam splitting or some missing spine text but are still fairly well intact. Writing may be present on label.
VERY GOOD (VG), significant and obvious wear and handling including surface noise throughout, audible scratches which cause clicks and pops and crackle but no skips or repeated grooves, cover sleeve may have significant ring wear and/or staining, seam splits may be evident, label or sleeve may have writing, names, stickers etc.price rating
