Description

Colosseum – Valentyne Suite (Vertigo VO 1), a great copy of the superb 1969 album from the cult progressive jazz/rock band, the title track of which is one of the finest extended instrumentals in all of prog rock.

This is an original edition of the LP, possibly a 1st pressing, with the spiral Vertigo label. The vinyl is in Very Good condition, with some surface noise and slight crackle to be heard, as well as the occasional pop (and the record does sometimes stick during ‘Butty’s Blues’), and some slight distortion in parts, but it does generally boast a lovely, crisp, clear sound; the vinyl is generally clean, although there are some light marks and scratches – however, these do not affect the sound quality. The gatefold sleeve is in Good-Very Good condition, although there is some wear and rubbing around the edges, the spine and the corners, and a few faint marks. The record comes complete with a Vertigo company inner bag, featuring that hypnotic spiral design, as on the label. On the whole, this is a lovely copy of a much-sought after album, and it’s with much, much regret that I’m actually selling it, so this is an excellent opportunity to get your hands on such a rare item.
