I'm listing my record collection, that I put together during my days when I was a passionate record collector, from 1968 through to roughly 1982. They were usually purchased at the time of the release of the album and in the main are first pressings.These LP's are all from my collection,some have been initialed because a number of these albums were stolen, the B side of this album has my small initials in the bottom left hand corner . The silver lining to the theft is I used to record them onto tape, however, this doesn't mean they're unplayed records, but it also means they haven't been played excessively either. The albums have been carefully stored, unplayed, for thirty years when inevitably I was no longer so passionate about music.
The vinyl is a deep shiny black with some inevitable superficial hairlines visible under deep scrutiny when caught in the light on each side.
Only minor surface noise evident in some of the quieter passages or some times in the separation tracks, though very little deterioration in sound quality at all - sounds excellent.
The cover has edge wear from storage and some corner wear, the front face has two very small aging marks but is aesthetically good. The rear cover has slight ring wear otherwise it's again very good. The center gate fold has a crease down the middle and slight ring wear but is essentially very good.
Comes complete with original swirl Vertigo company inner sleeve which is lightly creased and has some browning age marks.
I'd class the record as excellent and the cover as very good, using these guide lines below:
Record Grading: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
Cover Grading:
MINT:The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD:Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
