My thanks to the people who have corresponded with me and confirmed that this collection certainly is collectable !
I have approximately 200 albums / box-sets, inherited from my late uncle in spring 2007. He always told me they were highly collectable, and with the numbers showing interest in my early listings, he clearly knew what he was talking about.
This collection starts in the 1950's, and continues through to the (more modern) Digital recordings of the late 70's / early 80's. The majority are violin and cello music, although there are also piano, chamber, orchestral and operatic pieces.
I love my vinyl, but classical music has never been an interest. I am comfortable to 'grade' the actual vinyl, but do not ask me if a particular recording is exceptional or not ! Please do not hesitate to send me any questions you think relevant. My knowledge is very limited, so I will almost certainly not be supplying all the information that serious collectors are requiring.
The collection will be listed over the next 2 - 4 weeks, depending on how often my young children distract me !
This is on EMI's "Columbia" Label, record No. SAX 2347. This is a stereo recording.

The sleeve is in excellent condition.
The record is also excellent.
I will try to keep my gradings simple, as some appear to be incredibly scientific !?
MINT - Vinyl and sleeve as new, vinyl may even be unplayed. This is highly unlikely in this collection.
NEAR MINT - As above, but with the faintest of scuffing to the very surface. Should be audibly near-perfect. Sleeve will have minimal wear.
EXCELLENT - Starting to see some clear marks on the vinyl surface, most should be inaudible. Sleeve may have some creases/ minor scratches.
VERY GOOD - Multiple visible marks, some of which are likely to give recurring 'tics', so expect some audible disruption. Sleeve may have some minor tears.
I WILL NOT LIST ANY OF THIS COLLECTION THAT FALLS BELOW VERY GOOD.

Each record will be packaged in a new, custom-made record sleeve, with two stiffeners each.
I guarantee to refund the cost of any record that obviously falls below the standard of my gradings, if returned intact.
