Description
An original UK pressing, a two record set from 1962 ,on Columbia Blue silver label (SAX 2430/2431) (YAX 757,YAX 758,YAX 759). Otto Klemperer conducts The Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus in Brahms´ German Requiem (Op. 45).Solo singers are Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, soprano and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, baritone. Organ is played by Ralph Downes. Both records are in Ex+ condition. They are both clean, with no surface marks. The records have both been played by the seller and they do sound fine, although a very slight surface sound can be heard a couple of times in softer passages. The cover of record one is in VG+ condition. It has two creases; one going along the front cover and one in bottom corner. There are two small initial letters written with a ballpen on the back of the cover. The cover of record two is nice and clean in Ex+ condition. The original inner sleeves are enclosed.
