Description

Up for auction is Victor 70012, a 12-inch 78rpm record, Patents label. Recorded in 1910.

Commander Robert E. Peary speaking: The discovery of the North Pole,
side 2 is blank.

playing surface has a light 3/4" scratch at the start, otherwise very nice copy in E- condition. Label is a bit dull, but gold print is still bright. The words 'Pasedena Public Library' appear in white ink in the area between the label and the grooves.

Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse).

Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box. This method of packing has proved extremely effective over the years for shipping fragile shellac 78s.
