+ TV PERSONALITIES flexi disc

Edition 2 of the very rare magazine published in 1982, and edited by future Creation supremo Alan McGee and journalist / musician The Legend!.

Includes articles and interviews with The Nightingales, Fire Engines, TV Personalities, Primal Scream, Patrik Fitzgerald, The Times, UT, The Paintings, The Legend & The Jasmine Minks. Comes with 2 track flexi- disc featuring The TV Personalities.

This release pre-dates the formation of the actual Creation Records label, and is on the Creation Artefacts label (catalogue number 002). The tracks are ‘Biff Bang Pow!’ ( a cover of 60s Mod Pop Art Freakbeat icons The Creation) and a live version ‘A picture of Dorian Gray’.

A unique and vital piece in the story of Creation Records and the whole UK indie scene of the 1980s!

Condition

Vinyl- black flexi disc which is generally in very good condition. There is a bit of a ‘crease’ on the first track, but this does not affect play at all. At the start of track 2 the sound ‘wobbles’ a bit, not sure if this is intentional, a faulty master tape or the manufacturing process (the hole is punched slightly off-centre). However after this the track plays perfectly. A few paper scuffs on the blank run-out groove, don’t affect play. When placed on turntable the disc sits flat. This disc has only ever been played a couple of times

Fanzine- Excellent condition. The front cover is still glossy and vibrant in colour, and hasn’t faded at all. The magazine is perfectly flat and there is absolutely minimal dog ear-ing at the corners. On the inside of front cover (which is blank) there is a sellotape mark from where the flexi-disc was attached. Some of the staples show a small amount of rusting, but this hasn’t marked the paper in any way.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
