THE COMPLETE WORKS OF EDGARDVARESE VOLUME ONE EMS 401 LP 1950
Rare original 1950 LP issueof 4 works by Edgard Varese, intended to be the first of a complete set of recordings of Varese compositions. In the end, it was the only volume issued. This is the album by which Frank Zappa discovered Varese as a teenager.
The album cover has tape on all 3 seams but does not look bad for its age. Also has facsimile Varese signature across the front. Visually, the vinyl record is probably about VG. Soundwise, there is surface noise that you might expect from a piece of vinyl that is almost 70 years old. But it does not drown out the music and I’d say it is quite listenable for a Varese fan who wants a slice of rare recorded history.
