CONNIE FRANCIS GREATEST HITS

VERY RARE

10 inch Japanese issue

Cat# ZL-5044

Up for grabs today is a wonderful addition to any record collection. We are not sure what year this came out but we are thinking 1958 to 1964. Its 10 inches across and all writing is in Japanese except for the lyrics. The original sleeve and lyric sheet are included and are in excellent condition considering the age. This album is part of the MGM Lion series and is very rare. As a bonus I am including another 10 inch record that was tucked away inside the sleeve, when we discovered this wonderful piece of history. It seems to be some sort of lesson on the "principles of persuasion"( part 3 and 4).There is also an addtional card that is about 5 inches by 7 inches that is written in japanese on both sides. (We have no clue what it says) All peices are in great shape and are being sold "As Is" the track listing is as follows:

Dear axofire,

I can offer you a slight bit of history regarding this album. I have been collecting her music internationally for more years than not at this stage of life and have a better than limited knowledge of her catalog. This particular effort was released in April of 1961 so you were within the appropriate range of dates. What is unique about this 10 inch release is that it is the only one of the six 10" Lps rleeased on Connie Francis from Japan that contains 10 selections. All of the others only included 8 songs. FYI: the other five 10 inch LPs released in Japan on Connie are titled; CONNIE FRANCIS; SING ALONG WITH CONNIE FRANCIS; A DATE WITH CONNIE FRANCIS; MINNA NO CONNIE (a compilation of her English hits all sung in Japanese); SECTACULAR SOUND OF CONNIE FRANCIS.
