Even though the song titles are in Spanish, they are all sung in German. The back cover notes are also in Spanish.
Abstract Art Cover
The abstract design used for the cover of this Connie Francis German Favorites LP released in Chile was created by the artist Jon Henry. He studied in the studio of Abstract Expressionist painter Robert Motherwell whose influence is evident in his design work, as can be seen in this album cover.
Henry was always closely tied to the music industry. As Art Director for Grey Advertising he was responsible for the promotion of many high profile Jazz artists, including Benny Goodman, Bud Powell, Stan Getz, and others. The art used for this Connie Francis LP from Chile was also featured on a 3-LP box set entitled, The Blues Box released by Verve/Folkways in 1966.
Sandwich Cover
True to the region's classic packaging habits of the early 1960s, the cover on this LP consists of a single, continuous piece of thin, lightweight paperboard. The sleeve naturally flips open like a book or a giant folder. Hence the term, "Sandwich Covers".
This auction is for the record pictured in the photos. It has not been play-tested, and is being sold as is.
