Transcribed Radio Interview with Connie Francis for “Where the Boys Are”
12” 33 1/3 RPM red vinyl
Assumed to be from 1960 (No date on the record)
Graded visually as VG (I no longer have a working turntable so I cannot comment on sound quality, and I have no idea what is actually on the record.)
On the label it says M-G-M Air View
From Howard Strickling, Publicity Director, M-G-M Studios, Culver City, Calif.
Strickling headed the M-G-M publicity department from 1934 until he retired in 1969. He was one of the subjects of E. J. Fleming's book The Fixers: Eddie Mannix, Howard Strickling and the MGM Publicity Machine (2004).

Johnson was a Hollywood gossip columnist who worked for the Hearst newspaper chain. His syndicated column was called "Hollywood" and "Hollywood Notes". He also appeared on the radio, and in a number of movies and TV series mostly as himself or as a reporter.
The other side of the record is without commentary.
A rare and unusual find from Connie's early days in Hollywood.

Both sides start with Connie singing the theme song from Where The Boys Are.
Side One:
Erskine Johnson interviews Connie, who was 21 at the time. She talks about the movie, her co-stars, and the funny scene when she falls into the tank of water. She admits that she enjoys acting but her first love will always be singing.
Side Two:
Connie's part of the interview without questions and comments from Erskine Johnson.
Both sides also have three short tracks of Connie promoting the movie.
Condition: Very Good, scratchy but it plays through OK.
