Orfeh was a significant independent Iranian record label active in the 1960s and early 1970s. It is primarily known by collectors for its extensive catalog of Western pop and rock music released in Iran during the era of the Shah.
Following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Western music was largely declared contraband and many records were confiscated or destroyed, making surviving Orfeh pressings rare and highly sought after by collectors.
