TITLE/ARTIST: This super rare and highly sought after, 1st and only, LP is by early Motown (Gordy Label) group, The Contours, from the very early years of Barry Gordy's huge record label - Motown - and is yet another one of those records that I once thought I'd never let go!. The LP is entitled, "Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance)" after their big hit song of the same title, is on the original, purple colored, Gordy Label - and is the first and only LP ever released by this talented, but short lived group. This package even includes an original Motown Records inner sleeve which advertises other available Motown records of that time (see the pictures above for all the song titles and much more). In my opinion, this LP (both the record and jacket) is in outstanding condition, but please read on as it isn't quite perfect either.  I will be listing other old, rare, and hard to find 45's, EP's, and LP's in my future auctions, so please check my site out from time to time - as there are hundreds more to get to yet. LABEL INFO: The original Gordy Label (901) - the early subsiderary of Motown Records - is super clean and nice with nothing negative to mention at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates very little, if any, actual play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also very, very good - extremely shiny, clean and nice with nothing in much need of a mention either - in my opinion, the vinyl looks almost as nice as the day it was 1st purchased, but does show just 1 or 2 super light (and I do mean super light) surface/paper lines. Personally, I don't see this as much of a flaw........and everything else here is nearly perfect. JACKET: This LP's colorful and attractive jacket is also in really good overall condition, but not quite perfect either - as there are some signs of early and light scuffing along the upper seam/corner areas and some early and very light signs of ring wear - but you need to look closely as this is very light. Again, in my opinion none of this is all that bad, but given the value and collectable status of this LP, I feel it deserves a mention. So, please view the pictures above and make your own decisions about everything. INTERESTING FACTS: This is one very rare LP, and yes, in my opinion it is primarily very, very clean and nice, not to mention how ridiculously difficult it is to find anymore, so please have at it.
