"Luna Cinese" is maybe the greatest record released from Cramps and surely the most atmospheric / obscure with beautiful use of the female voice together with experimental electronics. "An account of musical science fiction," as one writer called it, the two sidelong pieces anticipate the style of layered sound collage that would be so prevalent in experimental/industrial music 5-10 years later.  The subtle electronics, acoustic instrumentation and voices blend effortlessly, with a gentle, flowing quality not usually found in similar works by contemporaries like Bayle or Parmegiani. Miereanu did release another 4 albums after this one, on his Polyart label in Paris plus the series of "Instrumenta" vinyls also on Polyart, but none of these can compare with "Luna Cinese". On the Nurse with wound list of influences. Original French pressing.
