This Excellent 1962 blues session showcases Count Basie on piano and organ leading a septet of the cream of the Basie orchestra, Thad Jones, Frank Wess, Frank Foster, Eric Dixon, Sonny Payne, Freddie Green, and Eddie Jones. If you've never heard this purely instrumental blues bombshell you owe it to yourself to download it or get it any way you can, then get this amazing 45rpm  Lp. from  Impulse! and Analogue Productions. Recorded at Van Gelder Studios , Basie on piano and Hammond B3 takes us to church if you've never heard him outside the Big Band this is where you finally get it. Thad Jones and Frank Wees always great, but the surprise stand out is Freddie Green on guitar with emphasis on swinging uncomplicated jazz. This copy has a sort of low number 0799 not great but not bad. And it's been sitting on a shelf, in a glass case, in a non smoking home, off limits to my dogs. Thank You for your Interest, Arthur
