Description

COUNT FIVE PSYCHOTIC REACTION PYE INT 7N 25393 1966 psych acid garage rock classic 45. Psychotic reaction was, in 1966,  one of the very earliest psychedelic  rock songs to hit the US Billboard charts: with fuzz, feedback and distortion, and manic lyrics to the fore. It's still a sought after classic after all these years. It did not sell enough to get into the UK charts and is therefore relatively hard-to-find on the UK Pye label these days.      

  

So - on offer is a COUNT FIVE 45rpm entitled PSYCHOTIC REACTION c/w THEY’RE GONNA GET YOU as released on PYE INTERNATIONAL 7N 25393 in 1966.

 

The vinyl is in VG/VG+ condition.

The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.

The record sounded great when I test played it on my BOSE record player.

The record comes housed in its’ original PYE INTERNATIONAL label company sleeve… which still has the dealer’s sticker on it from when I bought it at a Fair … on which he had written on his label:  ‘CLASSIC GARAGE STOMPERS - 1966 UK ORIG!’    

He was spot on!

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.


VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.


GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
