COVEN -- Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls, Mercury Records, 1969.
THE classic album of psychedelic Satanism.  Jinx and crew were the first to use the double-horned hand sign in a musical context, which is now a reflex action for every concert-going metalhead.  The first time the salute "Hail Satan!" was used on a record album.  Probably the first recording of an actual Black Mass.  And, probably the first to display a naked female on a Satanic altar in the centerspread, to the delight of many.  The record was only distributed for a few months, the label deciding to withdraw it after a 1970 article in Esquire magazine on the Manson/Tate-LaBianca murders which mentioned the record.  So, it is a rare and sought-after LP, not that many of them out there.
Condition: The sleeve is Very Good.  Three small water spots on the cover that you can only see at an angle, some rubbing on the outside edge and mildly dogeared corners.  One pen mark on back only visible at an angle.  The sleeve is FLAT and there is no record indentation.  The record condition is Good.  It does not skip and is not warped, but there are some pretty loud pops on side one, and a visible and audible scratch on side two, through most of The Black Mass.  Still, the record plays well and is a dark gem from satanic sixties.
