Here's an original copy of COVEN - Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls, originally released 1969 in the US on Mercury SR-61239. Legendary US satanic heavy psych monster. The very first album in that occult heavy rock genre. When Black Sabbath's first album came out in 1970, head writer Lester Bangs wrote in Rolling Stone that they were "something like England's answer to Coven." After "Esquire" magazine connected the album with Charles Manson and the Tate-La Bianca murders in 1970 Mercury decided to withdraw the album. Superrare and a true piece of rock music history. Collectable keeper copy.
Condition record: vg+(+), it has not to less light visual hairlines and paperscuffs from putting it out from the innersleeve, nothing deep. Plays really great with light background noises in the quiet passages.
Condition sleeve: vg(+), the thick gatefold with the attached page has spine- and cornerwear, rubbing/ringwear on front and back. Removeable sticker on top right front. Some creases along the spines and on left top corner of back. The inside of the gatefold with the attached page is vg++. Backspine is almost perfect readable.
