Description
The first album by the psychedelic rock band Coven. It was unusual in that it dealt with overtly occult and satanic themes, and was removed from the market soon after its release due to controversy. (Even today, CDs of Coven's albums are sold only on the band's site at CafePress.com.) However, it remains a classic of its genre, and in some ways set groundbreaking trends for later rock bands. In this album appeared for the first time things which today are ubiquitous in occult and heavy metal rock music, such as the sign of the horns, inverted crosses, and the phrase Hail Satan.
I can't tell you much more about this album. It was left to me by my deceased brother and my very Catholic wife won't let me play it, even to dtermine the playing quality. It looks to be in good condition
On Jun-14-13 at 03:22:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I took the album to Trax on Wax in Catonsville and the manager there told me there were "some faint scratches on the surface" and he would rate it between "good" and "very good" although he'd had not actually listened to the album.P.S. He also told me that if it was on the shelf in his store in this condition he'd listed the price at between $100 and $150price rating
