Description
Here for auction is a lovely example of the album by CREAM titled “DISRAELI GEARSâ€. This is an ORIGINAL 1967 MONO UK FIRST PRESSING on the REACTION LABEL, Catalogue Number 583 003, with the EARLIEST POSSIBLE MATRIX NUMBERS 583 003 A-1 and 583 003 B-1, EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS STUNNING CONDITION!!!
The fragile fully laminated sleeve is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. The front and back covers RETAIN THEIR VIVID COLORATION, showing only a few light laminate creases (see images below). The top, bottom and opening edges have very little wear. The spine is VIRTUALLY UNMARKED with all writing CLEARLY LEGIBLE. There is some rubbing of the corners (a tiny 5mm split at the bottom opening corner). There are NO rips, stickers or writing.
A significantly better sleeve may prove hard to find!!!
The HEAVILY PRESSED vinyl retains much of its ORIGINAL LUSTRE, and sits flat and true on the turntable. Visually in EXCELLENT CONDITION with just a few light paper-scuff type surface marks which do not affect play. The BEAUTIFUL BLUE REACTION LABELS show only light spindle traces and are otherwise UNMARKED. I am confident that the record has not been played many times.
A critical play-grading on my REGA turntable, showed why these MONO FIRST PRESSINGS are so SOUGHT AFTER. The CLARITY and POWER of the AMAZING SOUNDS that emanate from these grooves is VERY SPECIAL!!!
I have always been impressed by the quality of Reaction pressings and this LP does not disappoint. Both sides play SUPERBLY with ALL FREQUENCIES CLEAR AND SHARP. There are NO jumps, pops or loud clicks, and a minimum of unwanted noise.
Complete with the CORRECT ORIGINAL plain white poly-lined inner sleeve.
DON’T MISS THIS ONE!!!
This record is from my own personal collection. I take a lot of care when advertising records - and will NOT overgrade!! I only sell records that I would be happy to receive myself. Please check out my 100% POSITIVE feedback.
