Here for auction is a superb example of the second album by CREAM titled
“DISRAELI GEARS”
Catalogue Number 593003.
This is a RARE ORIGINAL 1967 UK MONO 1st PRESSING
on the REACTION LABEL
with the EARLIEST A1/ B1 Matrix Numbers – EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!
The fragile LAMINATED (ON BOTH SIDES) SLEEVE is carefully graded as EXCELLENT++. It is close to PERFECTION, with beautiful vivid colouration, virtually NO LAMINATE CREASING, NO edge wear and lovely SHARP corners. The SPINE is absolutely PERFECT!!! A RARE FIND INDEED!!!
Hopefully the photos do the sleeve justice – it really is EXCEPTIONAL!!!
The only minor flaw (which prevents a Mint- grading) is a small neat concealed inscription inside the opening edge.
The HEAVILY PRESSED VINYL is in EXCELLENT++ CONDITION, retaining its ORIGINAL LUSTRE, with only a few very light surface marks which do not affect play. The BLUE REACTION LABELS are also EXCELLENT with just light spindle marks evident.
A critical play-grading on a REGA turntable, with an ELYS cartridge at 1.75g tracking force, showed why these MONO 1st PRESSINGS are so SOUGHT AFTER. The CLARITY and POWER that emanate from these grooves is VERY SPECIAL!!! The record PLAYS BRILLIANTLY with all frequencies CLEAR and SHARP and very little unwanted noise.
Complete with plain white poly-lined inner sleeve which is in EXCELLENT condition.
This STUNNING MONO 1st PRESSING should satisfy the most discerning of collectors and must be one of the VERY BEST available.
