THIS ALBUM WAS BOUGHT PERSONALLY BY THE SELLER IN NOVEMBER 1967. IT IS 44 YEARS OLD BUT THE SOUND QUALITY IS REMAKABLY GOOD. IT PLAYS THROUGH WITH NO JUMPING BUT YOU CAN EXPECT MINOR POPS AND CRACKLES WHICH DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE OVERALL LISTENING EXPERIENCE.

I AM INCLUDING AN "EXTRA" - A CUTTING I TOOK FROM "RECORD MIRROR" DATED NOVEMBER 18TH 1967. THE ARTICLE IS ENTITLED "SHARING A SLEEVE WITH SUPERMAN" REFERRING TO THE SUPER-HERO DEPICTED ON THE COVER. READ CLAPTON'S COMMENTS ON EACH TRACK REPORTED BY JOURNALIST BILL HARRY.

Here's a flavour: "OUTSIDE WOMAN BLUES" "Blind Joe Reynolds wrote this in 1927. On each LP I do I try and make sure that I can get in a number by an old Blues man. This is to help them out by getting some royalties".

"DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY" "It's a tribute to The Byrds. We admire them. Dave crosby told us he liked it very much".

Very Good Plus (VG+)

A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.

Very Good (VG)

Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

This album is part of my own personal collection of music which I started in 1964 with the Beatles A Hard Day’s Night which cost me 32/6. I have 450 approx records for sale from the 60s and 70s. My favourite artists are Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Cream and Jimi Hendrix but many others are featured.

Why am I selling? Raising money for VSO. Since my family are not interested, I think it is better the records go to music fans and lovers of the “heydays” of rock. Please watch this space.
