Description

The legendary band Cream, comprised of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, came to be THE band that typified what was known as the “Psychedelic 60s”.

I love this comment in the linear notes on the rear cover:

“It all started four months ago as rumours, it seemed

hard to believe that three such musical giants as Eric

Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce could be joining

together. Soon it became reality. CREAM were formed

and here they are.”

In this auction:

  • “FRESH CREAM” LP by CREAM

  • This is ATCO RECORDS SD 33-206.

  • It was released in 1967.

  • It is the 1st STEREO ISSUE of this LP. We know this, because the vinyl has the purple and brown ATCO labels. (The 2nd stereo pressing of this LP in 1969 had yellow ATCO labels.)

  • This LP contains notable cuts such as “I Feel Free”, “N.S.U.”, “Sweet Wine”, “I’m So Glad” and “Toad”. There are 10 cuts on this LP. (Please refer to the image of the rear cover or the labels for a listing of all of the cuts.)

  • The COVER is NEAR MINT CONDITION and still in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. The shrink wrap has protected the cover very well over the past 50 + years (actually, almost 55 years). There is a just a very tiny bit of wear on the top left corner where the shrink wrap has a tear or is worn through.

  • The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION with some light surface hairlines/scuffs (not “feelable”) and lots of gloss. The labels are nice and clean.

  • Also included is its original ATCO Records inner paper sleeve that features other ATCO LPs available at that time.

An ORIGINAL 1st STEREO PRESSING of this LANDMARK CREAM LP in EXCELLENT CONDITION that will be a FINE ADDITION to any vinyl collection!

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (P for Poor, F for Fair, G for Good, G+ for Good Plus, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. And please check my other auctions for other LPs you may want to add to your collection.
