Description
Has just been deep cleaned in Spincare record cleaner and static removed with a ZeroStat gun. This is my personal copy which I've owned since the late 1970s.
Original 1966 UK Mono first pressing of Fresh Cream. A2/B1 pressing: these are the earliest commercially available lacquer cuts, known for better hot mastering, giving punchier low-end and more dynamic mid-range than later, compressed recuts (A3/A4).
Matrix / Run-out Details:
· Side 1: 593001 A v 2
· Side 2: 593001 B // 1
· Credits: Side 1 features the earliest "1-4. Dratleaf Music" publishing credit.
Vinyl Condition: VG
· Visual: (see photos) various hairlines and light scuffs on side 1. Smaller, lighter hairlines on side 2, with light scuff. Correct 1st Press dark blue "rough-textured" labels. Side 2 features the early "Copyright Control" credit for 'Four Until Late'. Lots of spindle marks.
· Play test: (see video) Plays through strongly with punchy mono sound. Light crackle in the run-ins, but the music overpowers any surface noise. No skips or sticks.
Sleeve Condition: VG+
· Original high-gloss laminate flatback sleeve, printed by Ernest J. Day & Co. featuring the ‘Patent Pending’ text at the bottom.
· Front and back very clean with no writing, labels, tears or seam splits. Corners tidy.
· Very short and slight ring wear around 12 o'clock position on front sleeve.
· Spine structurally sound but shows some buffing/shelf wear; the title "Fresh Cream" remains just about legible. Hence only grading as VG+.
Will be packed to the highest standard in a Defenda twist box, with the vinyl and sleeve separated and the vinyl in a new polyvinyl inner sleeve. Box will be wrapped in a weatherproof outer layer and sent to you promptly via Royal Mail Tracked Delivery.
