This is a GENUINE ORIGINAL DOUBLE VINYL MONO 1ST UK PRESS WITH NO SET NUMBERS ON THE ROUGH POLYDOR LABELS WITH A1/B1/A1/B1 MATRIX WITH THE INVERTED TRIANGLE BETWEEN THE LETTER AND THE NUMBER (characteristic of the very 1st pressings).

Another real piece of rock history! The record is pressed on thick quality vinyl and is in EXCELLENT condition, it is the genuine article and in MONO! 

Mono was the main format of the day and so those mixes were done at separate sessions for each track. Mono was where all the work and time went and the stereo mix was pretty much cobbled together as an afterthought.

This is how you'd have heard it on pirate radio back in the 60's. Not many people had stereo in those days. It definitely has a different sound...not better, not worse...just different!

The vinyl is visually graded in excellent minus condition. Please read below a description of grades to understand what this means.

The Rogh Polydor Orange/Red labels are in very goodcondition without any writing.

The gatefold silver sleeve is in very good condition with creases, ring and corner wear. The inside sleeve is in excellent condition.

The spine is worn out and was split but has been repaired. 

Within a short time from first release this LP took the progressive rock world by storm, exciting the record buying public ‘en masse’ and selling millions worldwide. Immense popularity and consistent demand earned it the distinction of being the first album ever to go platinum. It peaked at #3 in the UK album charts and #1 in the US but that only tells part of the story because in the 24 months following release it sold more copies than all vinyl sales in the preceding 24 years.

THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND AS A 1968 STEREO PRESSING WITH NO SET NUMBERS ON THE LABEL. DON’T MISS OUT THE CHANCE OF OWNING A RARE PIECE OF ROCK HISTORY!

Mint                      

Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage

Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible

Near Mint              

Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.

Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve

Excellent                

Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.

Disc- The record has been played and will have some superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good              

Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.

Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good                      

Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.

Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler
