Description
This is a very nice 1st pressing of the Creedence Clearwater Revival 'Bayou Country' lp.
Released by Liberty Records in 1969 with earliest 1st pressing matrix numbers LBS 83261 A//1 420 1 1 1 / LBS 83261 B//1 420 1 1 1.
The record has a nice solid feel, not a flimsy disc like some 70s pressings and the surface has a very nice shine. There are only a couple of extremely light marks and this particularly well looked after record is a strong excellent grade under the Record Collector grading system. The centre labels are particularly clean reflecting that the record has only been very lightly played.
Another 1st pressing attribute is the fully laminated cover which was replaced on later issues. It's again graded as excellent condition with only light signs of handling and age. The spine is nice and clear.
A direct link to Liberty Records is on the front cover with a sticker which states 'Library Copy Please return to Andrew Lauder'. Andrew Lauder being the initial "label manager" of Liberty Records and the person responsible for signing bands such as Can, Idle Race and Hawkwind to Liberty Records and United Artists Records.
