CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL

SIDE A:     TE HECHIZO

(I Put A Spell On You)

SIDE B:     DOBLANDO LA CURVA

                  (Up Around The Bend)

MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Fantasy Records very first Stereo press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1975 by Discos Banglad (Banglad Records), catalog number FPM-83-S, with hand etched matrix numbers FPM-83-S-83-SA EB-CI in Side A and FPM-83-S-B EB-CD-C in Side B, with traditional colored/black Banglad Records labels. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “10-9-75” (September 10th of 1975)!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for all Creedence Clearwater Revival lovers, fans and collectors!!!

Discography of Creedence Clearwater Revival is more than extense and in the first half of the ‘70’s they were one of the most important acts for Banglad Records in Chile, they released many albums but curiously not so many singles and most of them in the years 1975 and 1976!!! One of those singles, “I Put A Spell On You”, with so many issues worldwide, was released in Chile in 1975 with song “Up Around The Bend” as Side B!!! So far I know it’s the only issue with these songs!!! In labels the song titles are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and time of each song. It has the logo of Fantasy Records and Banglad Records and additional information inside a box in Side A “Worlwide Hit” and in Side B “More than one million records sold”. You can also see some errors in the matrix number etched in the deadwax in both sides, so the numbers scratched. So, here you have the chance to own this MEGARARE SINGLE issued only in Chile!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, hairlines and light scratches of all sizes and in all directions, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great VG or VG+ condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear, writings in Side B, some little tears and very faint blemishes, more evident in Side B. The sound is in strong EX- or EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with light crackles and some very occasional soft pops here and there, more evident in the beginning of the song, and in VG- or VG condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, but with constant soft crackles and some pops and clicks, more evident than in Side A, which don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this record is not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure it’s still in a great condition and still with a great sound quality after about 46 years (and sure many plays) which shouldn’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this record was only released in Chile with these songs and both songs have the titles written in Spanish only!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
