MEGARARE and HARD TO FIND Philips Records very first Mono press, released, produced and distributed in Colombia in 196? by Candelazos Curro (Curro Fuentes Y Su Sonido 70), catalog number 6377012, with bright blue/white Philips Records labels and machine etched matrix numbers M 634488 843353 A IL870 in Side 1 and M 634488 843353 B IL870 in Side 2. It’s interesting to notice that in cover the catalog number is only 6377012 but in labels it’s P6377012L!!! Yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND!!! Another MEGARARE South American record!!!

“LA PONZOÑA” was originally released in 196? With a cover made of two single pieces of a very thin cardboard with non-laminated front cover pasted on the flips of back cover. And this record is the very first press!!! Cover is the same for both Mono and Stereo versions, with both catalog numbers written at the top right corner and with a yellow sticker glued in front cover to inform it’s a MONO record (“MONOFONICO”). Back cover is black and white with the same sexy picture of front cover, a brief review of Cresencio Camacho and tracklist only in Spanish with credits for songwriters. In the review is written that songs “NOVALES NADA” and “DOLORES” will be hits for 2 years. The interesting fact to notice about that review is that they misspelled the titles, which are correctly written in the tracklist, “NO VALES NADA” and “CARMEN DOLORES”!!! And WHAT A GREAT CONDITION!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, complete and clean, with no writings or marks, only some general wear in edges, more evident in corners, and some age browning and blemishes in back cover, little rips, but NO seam splits!!! The record is in superb VG+ or EX- condition the Side A, glossy and clean, with scuffs and minimal hairlines ad light scratches. Labels on both sides are in EX or EX+ condition, with only some spindle hole wear. The sound is absolutely in strong EX or EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no clicks, no pops, only some minimal occasional crackles here and there, hard to hear if you are not looking for them!!! Overall a fabulous record with a great look and amazing sound quality!!! And remember this is the VERY FIRST PRESS, the ERRORS in back cover and of course the great condition!!! WOW!!! A MEGARARE album almost never seen in this great condition!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
