CRISPIAN ST PETERS
CLASSIC ULTRA RARE
FOLK ALBUM
FOLLOW ME ...
Original UK MONO LP Issued in 1966 on DECCA LK 4805
Side 1 Matrix/Stamper Info = xarl-7311-1A
Side 2 Matrix/Stamper Info = xarl-7312-1A
The most desirable LP by the remarkable singer/songwriter who did not get full credit for his full catalogue that was overshadowed by the success of "Pied Piper", which is also included on this disc and of course a fanatastic track, but Crispian St Peters had far more magic on his sleeve. On this LP we also saw Jimmy Page on guitar (with a remarkable fuzz solo that predates the Yardbirds and Zep) !!! Clearly credited on the back of the sleeve.(see 1st pic below).
CRISPIAN ST. PETERS "FOLLOW ME". VERY RARE UK RED UNBOXED DECCA LABEL ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING VINYL LP. FROM 1966. MONO. LK 4805. LAMINATED FLIPBACK COVER. TRULY SUPERB COPY!!, PROBABLY THE BEST YOU'LL SEE!! LOVELY CRISP SLEEVE!!! EX CONDITION.
Vinyl: EX. In great shape and is very clean and shiny like new . Plays with superb clean sound with immense depth and warmth. Just one long hairline on side 1 that has NO impact whatsoever on the incredible audio, yes this is one of those quality DECCA vinyls that are now so sought after!!! Immensely hard to find this folkgem which I have only seen once before. This one plays immaculately without even any crackle or any noticeable background noise. Needless to say NO jumps, NO sticks, NO clicks. Just a beautiful heavy deep glossy disc that obviously has barely been played!!! A great item for any '60s collector of well-crafted music. Also indispensible for serious Led Zeppelin collector because of the large Jimmy page contribution.
Sleeve: EX++. An exemplary sleeve that will be impossible to improve upon. This does not even have the obligatory yellowing. This album has been kept away from any lightsource and looks as it was first issued. This is an exceptionally well preserved example of a tremendously rare album. Don't be mistaken, it will be impossible to better this magnificent sleeve. All edges are straight and unworn. There are NO creases!! The opening is crisp and the spine is 100% legible. A very hard album to find in any condition really but this definitely qualifies as a final upgrade!!
In the last 10 years I have only come across 1 copy of this great album. Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, NO crackle and static can at times only be heard at quieter passages (there are not too many!!) and in the silent grooves between the tracks. This is really a stunning SUPER heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl has not been played much !!! A definite EX!!! There are only 2 wispy hairlines, totally inaudible on replay. Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great folk collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.
Top spins on my decks this week:
1. VGG - H to He
2. Opeth - Orchid
3. Novalis - Sommerabend
Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly! PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again!!
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX(the vinyl) EX++(sleeve) CONDITION!!! It is indeed very late in the day for this stunner!!!!!
Important :International postage will be registered and insured if over GBP 41.00. This will incur an extra signed for fee. The album will be fully insured. Please wait for my invoice in this case. Postage will be according to Royal Mail rates. Postage is NOT a money spinning exercise for me.
This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
