Description

I've decided to sell off a few test pressings of 7"s from a couple of indie labels I used to own here in Sydney (Phantom Records, and Messiah Complex). Generally, most were given to the bands...and on occasion I may have kept a couple...usually only the one though. Definitely kept only one of this.

Anyway, here's what we're talking about:

ARTIST:     CROW   -
TITLES:      "CONFECTION" / "RAVINE"

FORMAT:     …vinyl 7" single TEST PRESSING…
LABEL:         (PHANTOM) .
CAT. #:          PH-46   .
EVENTUAL RELEASE DATE:    1991(?)

PRESSED IN:    AUSTRALIA

...One of only 6 made...gave one to each of the 4 band members and possibly one to their manager (who was singer Peter Fenton's wife)...but am not certain about that 6th one.

It comes in its original plain light-blue die-cut paper sleeve with basic info handwritten on label - written by the test pressing checker lady (named Oriel) at Festival.

It was cut by highly revered Sydney cutting engineer Warren Barnett (who had cut Australian releases by the likes of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, and loads of Aussie indie releases among thousands of others), at Festival Records' cutting room, in Pyrmont, Sydney.

 CONDITION:

COVER / RECORD: ( - / EX- )...has a few light marks but plays really well...

LABELS: ( Side One: MINT /  Side Two: MINT )...

If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks).
