Description
DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is an original pressing of Crucifix' "Nineteen Eighty-Four" 7" EP (Freak Records No. Freak E-1, Berkeley, 1982). Black vinyl, with lyrics printed on the backside of the sleeve.
NOTES: Crucifix originally came from Berkeley, California. The band started in 1980, with frontman Sothira Pheng, whose family had fled Cambodia when the Khmer Rouge took power. Jake Smith played guitar on their follow-up (Dehumanization LP), later joining Faith No More.
Nineteen eighty-four is maybe their best release with its overwhelming rawness. Very few US-bands played D-Beat at that time, so imagine Discharge pumped full of U.S. hardcore adrenaline. Not one bad track here.
RARE and outstanding release.
CONDITION: Record and sleeve are in great condition (I would grade VG+), it plays well. See pictures. The record comes from my personal collection as I decided to concentrate on other focus. Patch is missing.
