A CRYPTIC GUIDE TO THE RESIDENTS, ARCHIVE COPY #54 OF 75, SIGNED BY HARDY FOX AND HOMER FLYNN.  The Residents set aside certain works and had them stored in thier secret vaults, this was where the archive copies were stored, this copy was in fact on display in a glass case at the 444 Grove Street location, and I have a photo of it in this case and will include it with the package. This copy belonged to George W, Bush, before he became President, he was a really cool dude in those days, and quite a party animal, he could drink a whole fifth of Dickle Brothers Sour Mash while standing on his head!!!! Actually, I made all that stuff up about G. W., but wouldn't it be great if it were true!!! This book profiles The Residents' career up to the middle of 1986. The collectors' edition of 500 numbered copies featured a glow-in-the-dark silk screened cover printed on fluorescent paper stock and contained the 1-sided single "Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers". The cover art is by Mark Mothersbaugh, and contains The True Story of The Residents by Matt Groening, along with a great Ralph Records discography with pics of The Residents, Snakefinger, Renaldo and The Loaf, Yello, MX80 Sound, Tuxedomoon and others, I believe there are 64 pages in all. The regular edition of 1500 copies of this book has a three different coloured covers (500 each of yellow, pink and light green) and no single.
Also contains the 1-sided single, Earth vs. The Flying Saucers on transparent green vinyl and packaged in plain white sleeves. 800 copies were made and attached to the back cover of the first edition copies of "The Cryptic Guide to The Residents" book. Now I have the speed of the record as 45, but I'm not certain about it anymore, it might be 33 1/3, but this is sealed and I'm not going to open it up to find out, the pics I have of the inside page and record are from my other open copies and the record, which I sold a while back. This is just one rare little sucker!!!!
