Description:
Original 1983 Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab pressing. Half-speed mastered by Stan Ricker. Promo stamped copy — stamp is present on [cover/back cover/label — specify location]. All-analog mastering chain. Gatefold jacket.
This is a genuine Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab promotional copy bearing the original gold promo stamp on the cover. MFSL distributed these gold-stamped pressings in extremely limited quantities to industry insiders, reviewers, and select retailers — never offered through standard retail channels. The gold stamp on the jacket marks this as a direct-from-label copy from MFSL's golden-era all-analog mastering program. For collectors, it represents both a mark of authenticity and a rare variant of an already scarce half-speed mastered audiophile pressing.
Vinyl plays with minimal surface noise; a couple light hairlines visible under bright light but nothing that affects play. Cover shows light edge wear. A solid VG+ copy of a highly sought-after audiophile pressing.
Grading:
Vinyl graded strictly per Goldmine standards under bright light. VG+ = shows some signs of being played with very slight sonic imperfections that do not overpower the music. Cover shows minor wear but no major defects.
Shipping:
I generally ship in 1-2 days. Shipped in a new sturdy mailer with the record outside the jacket in a poly-lined inner sleeve to prevent seam splits. Packed with care.
