Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Dutch Beat, Prog, Psych and Jazz records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st Holland STEREO pressing of Cuby and the Blizzards – Groeten Uit Grollo on Philips, cat no. 855 040 XPY.
The record is in VG+++ condition, there are a couple non-sounding hairlines only. The labels are in EX minus condition, there are a few spindle marks on both sides and there is very faint wear along the spindle hole on side 1.
The flipback sleeve is in EX minus condition, there is a very tiny sticker in bottom corner on the front, there is some sticker residue on the top flip on the back, the spine has a couple bald spots and is a little discoloured, there is also very faint ring wear on the back and there is some very slight handling wear along the opening edge on the front. Besides these mentioned small imperfections, there is nothing wrong with this cover; no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
This is an extremely rare 1st Dutch pressing of the legendary Groeten uit Grollo album by Cuby and the Blizzards. When this album was first released in 1967, it sold a very little amount of copies. Almost every first pressing I’ve seen, was played to death and not better than VG minus. Decent copies of this album are very hard to locate, making this an extremely hard record to find. This is a real must have for all Dutch blues fans! Happy Bidding!
