Description
Side 1: Space Truckin’ (Deep Purple)/ Pictures At An Exhibition (ELP) Source: California Jam, Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario, CA, April 6, 1974.
Side 2: Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun (Pink Floyd) Source: “An Hour With Pink Floyd” broadcast, KQED Studios, San Francisco – 30 April 1970 (also available on the CBM titles Fillmore West and International Transmission)
The first release with the King Kong trade mark
The record sounds good on both sides. Their is some background static and a couple of pops but no skips. The record has some light surface scratches after 40 yeas but nothing that I feel is deep.
I believe the ELP song is The Great Gates of Kiev. At the end of the song you hear the house speaker and fireworks telling the crowd it's the end of the show.
The cover label has tape holding the picture in place that has yellowed over time I don't think this label was ever glued and it was originally attached by the tape. Slight ring wear and staining and pen mark (name) can also be seen on the cover.
I'm trying to be over critical of this record because it is so rare. I want you to know exactly what you are getting but please ask any other questions you might have before bidding
