Super Rare PROMO COPY. Vinyl is VG+ PLUS, a little crackle in lead in and quiet passages, no loud tics or any skips. One side of one disc has some scotch tape and marker on the label, looks like a DJ was spinning this but no scratches or wear, still in great condition.
Sleeve is straight with a couple bent corners, spines lookin good! ALL COPIES of this album whether OG or 2018 Record store release are known for having some sibilance issues on various tracks, no biggie, production is tight and bass is deep!
-This is it.. the album of which all rappers strive to make, and ultimately fail. Not that any of those more than adequate MCs should hang their heads in shame, as they should keep in mind “can man compete with the Gods?”. The answer is a resounding “NO”. Rakim tried, Eminem failed, KRS ONE wisely didn’t rise to the Lyrical Monolith who is “Cam’ron”. Kanye West had to beg on his knees to be involved. One cannot predict the future as they cannot be ready for the influential and futuristic tour de force which is “Cam’ron”. Case in point, the album title, “PURPLE HAZE”. Surely no artist has ever come close to placing those words together. When all is said and done, heads will argue the GOATS, “does Rakim still rule? Has JayZ surpassed Biggie? Do Pac and Nas belong?” The only thing thats for sure, they all stand in the long, purple, hazy shadow, cast by ... Cam’ron.
