Canaxis 5 Technical Space Composer's Crew LP - Rare!

Holger Czukay, Rolf Dammers pre-Can Album - 500 Made!!!

This is high in my top ten all time favourite records and I'd never even seen an original until today! Never heard one either. I didn't realize the track I knew as Canaxis is actually called Shook Eyes Ammunition and 5 minutes longer than the version on my Spoon reissue. I'd love to keep it but circumstances dictate it has to be sold.

I playgraded it on my well maintained 1957 Garrard 301 turntable (sadly also for sale) with a much modified Rega RB250 arm and Audio Technica OC-9 cartridge. That fed into a Mayware step up transformer, on to a Graham Slee Era V Gold phono stage then into a dual mono LDR (light Dependent Resistor) based attenuator and a pair of Gainclone mono power amplifiers, finally being turned into sound by my Living Voice Avatar speakers. The AC was filtered by two Isotek mains conditioners. All the cable from cartridge to speakers is silver. I mention this so you know I'm serious about audio and sound quality.

Anyway, the vinyl grades Excellent, that is there's no lessening of sound quality and little evidence of use. Side one has the merest of crackles in quiet places, side two has two incidences of pop, both are around 6-8 revolutions and while audible they're not particularly loud. The vinyl is clean although there are a couple of visible scuffs. The labels are Near Mint.

The sleeve, which is a cheaply made, thin card affair is VG+. There's some minor grime and sellotape marks on the top and bottom. Considering its age and potential for wear it's doing very well.

Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
