Historical Figures and Ancient Heads is the eighth album by Canned Heat, released in 1971. It was the first album not to feature original member and songwriter Alan Wilson who had died the previous year, and their bassist Larry Taylor, who had left to join John Mayall's band. Featuring new guitar man Joel Scott Hill and Little Richard on "Rockin’ With the King". ## The Vinyl is described as Excellent & played to that grading & better during today's play-test, below average background & no skips or stops. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained much of its rich waxy lustre. Cont'd... The Gatefold Cover is described as VG+. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. There are some colour losses to edges & spine & some minor areas of fading to front cover. No seam splits. Couple of minor stains here & there. Apart from the 2WS notice on the front cover there was a second taped 2WS 'Don't Touch' sticker top left front cover which came off easily, but left outline of the sticker and where the cello-tape was.
