A landmark collaboration between blues legend John Lee Hooker and blues-rock pioneers Canned Heat, Hooker 'N Heat captures the two acts at the peak of their creative powers. Released in 1971 on Liberty Records, this double LP blends Hooker's hypnotic electric blues with Canned Heat's signature boogie style, producing one of the finest blues collaborations ever recorded.
This U.S. Liberty Records pressing (LST-35002) is housed in the original gatefold jacket and includes the insert. The album was recorded in 1970 with Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson, making it especially significant as it became the last studio recording released during Wilson's lifetime. Collectors continue to seek this album for its historic pairing and outstanding performances.
